With Wayeshkad Outfitting you will have the opportunity to extend your adventure and book a guided bear hunt and/or a trapline tour.
The guided bear hunts take place in the Spring and Fall and are open to both resident and non-resident hunters.
Trapline tours are open in January, February and March.

The trapline tours will take place on weekends beginning in January and running until the middle of March. Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in knowledge and experience of trapping and winter travel, taking in the wild and traditional teachings with a two-night, all inclusive experience.

Trapline Tours
Come experience a day on the trapline and an overnight stay at our remote trap camp - only 2 hours from Ottawa or 3 hours from Toronto!
Your journey will begin at a home-based cabin on a private lake where you will learn about trapping, winter travel and outdoor camping and travel.
On the first night, you will have an opportunity to enjoy a wild game dinner prepared by your hosts!
In the morning, you will be guided by our experienced trappers on our 20,000-acre trapline where you will observe all the parts of trapping including harvest, trap setting and animal care.
You will also be taught about traditional medicines, outdoor travel and cooking throughout the day.
The day will end at a remote trap camp where, once again, you will be treated to dinner next to a warm wood fire. The tour will continue the following morning after a hearty breakfast at the trap camp.
It is our hope that this experience takes you on a journey that transcends time and history bringing you back to early Canada through our Indigenous roots.
Note: couples or families of up to four people can be accommodated on this adventure!
Guided Bear Hunts
Come experience a 5-day Guided Bear Hunt at our three different bear management units where you will be hunting within 100 sq km of hunting grounds in the North Frontenac Township area.
Ground blind hunts and a guided experience with our exceptionally trained bear dogs will make your hunt one to remember!
Our location is within a few hours of two major city centers; Toronto and Ottawa, making your travels to our area easy and convenient.
Accommodations are provided in a custom-built log cabin on our private lake.
Enjoy a day of hunting and even an evening of fishing if you wish it!
Hunters running their own bear hunts are also welcome at our location.
Note: groups of two for fully guided hunts can be accommodated.
Canadian and non-resident hunters are welcome.
